But I ammmm. This year, Christmas fell on a Sunday *very nice* :). I usually opt for something red..green..ya know, the appropriate colors. Not this year. I went for something totally off base, but still very cute and fun.
Excuse my deer in the headlights look..lol.
I love this dress. It's one of those dresses that you see and think..I'm taking this home with me. That's exactly what I felt when I found it!
I could not be bothered with my hair. It's the same style I wore for the dinner the night before. I wrapped it up in a scarf and satin bonnet. Unwrapped and fluffed in the morning.
This is a close up of the border on the dress. Isn't it pretty?? I should've gotten more of it in. the mirrored circles alternate from pink to orange threading. The Paisley detailing is just wonderful.
Did I mention that the dress is vintage?? At least I think it is..I'm not quite sure how to categorize something as vintage. But, he design of the tag looks pretty old school..so ya :).
I paired the dress with my fabulously fuchsia H by Halston wedges and this perfect pair of earrings from my mommy's collection. I couldn't believe how well they went with the dress. I honestly cannot convey how glad I was when I saw these earrings, I nearly screamed from excitement. Before finding them, I had no idea what earrings to wear. At first I thought they would be a bit much, but they were exactly what the outfit needed.
What's in the drawer?
Dress: Jessica Howard petite (thrifted)
Heels: H by Halston (Plato's)
Tights: Target
Earrings: mommy's
Bracelet: Juicy Couture (T.J.Maxx)
I got plenty of compliments on this dress ^_^. I'm so glad I decided to wear it. Can't wait for spring to wear it again :)
I don't like jackets..lol
